16 July 1876 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 16th July [1876]. Went to bathe & took Maffei– The Marcellos did not arrive until just as we left. on our return found that Castellazzo had arrived– At 3 we went out to pay visits & leave cards. After dinner we went to the Giudecca to row up & down & see the end of the fête. We then went to the Piazza to hear the band & take ices. | |
