1 August 1876 — Paris | |
Tuesday. 1st August [1876]. Walked with Henry to Palais Royal & bought some books. Breakfast at 11. Visit from Baron Weisweiller. Left by 1.40 train for Boulogne. Very rough passage & was very sick. Mr Rutledge from Cordova went with us. Arrived at Cannon St at 10.30 & just caught a Greenwich train so we left Hill to bring the luggage & went on at once to Blackheath. Grannie was not well & had gone to bed. Arthur Layard was there– Had some supper & bed– | |
