14 August 1876 — Eastnor Castle, nr. Ledbury, Herefordshire | |
Monday. 14th [August 1876]. Spent all the morning up in Lord Somers’ room maddering ie painting & doing up my Venice sketches. We went back again to it directly after lunch till tea time– After tea we drove out Henry & I & Ld & Ly S. to the Malvern hills & got out & walked to the top & got a little fresh air. Dined very late & bed early. | |
