15 August 1876 — Eastnor Castle, nr. Ledbury, Herefordshire | |
Tuesday. 15th [August 1876]. Worked a little in Ld Somers’ room & then we went down to the Library & I began a sketch out of the end window wh has a view of the lake & the Malvern hills. It was very hot & I got rather knocked up & was glad after tea to go out driving. We drove to Malvern Wells wh is a very pretty place with a lovely view over the plain. | |
