16 August 1876 — Eastnor Castle, nr. Ledbury, Herefordshire | |
Wednesday. 16th [August 1876]. Painted up in Lord Somers’ room part of the morning but had to give it up & lie down having a tremendous headache so I starved & kept on the sofa till tea time. At 6 H & I & the Somers went to call on the Pulleyns & found Mrs P. & the girls at home. Afterwards Lady S. & Addie & I drove to Ledbury & back. After dinner we sat some time on the terrace—it was very hot. | |
