15 September 1876 — Milton Court, nr. Dorking, Surrey | |
Friday. 15th September [1876]. Lachie had had a good night night & we had all slept quietly. As Mr Rate was expected this eveng we were able to return to Bkheath to make our preparations for starting for Spain on Tuesday. We went to town by 11.15 train, arrived in town an hour late. Henry got out at Cannon St & Hill & I went to Charing X & went together to Ham: Hse. I spent some time with Blanche before lunch & after lunch Edward took me out shopping—returned to Ham: Hse to tea & Henry & I went down to Blackheath in time for dinner. | |
