9 October 1876 — Madrid | |
Monday. 9th October [1876]. Copied a despatch till breakfast. Copied another after & wrote to Blanche. Went out driving with Henry at 3.30 to call on Css Bernar. Found her in– Left other cards & returned home by 5.30. Lady Walsham came to tea—also Albareda who was very well & in good spirits & sat talking till 7. Worked at arms & played backgammon. | |
