20 November 1876 — Madrid | |
Monday. 20th [November 1876]. I painted nearly all day long & did not go out. Henry took the Bruce’s to the Museum. Great row with the servants & H. Beale got into a rage. Had quite a party at 5 o’cl tea. Mme Ulloa came—then the Dss de la Torre & Conchita & Hatzfeldt & the Belgian sey M. Familleureurs. Mme Ulloa was very amusing & lively & stayed till near dinner time. The Bauers, Castelar, Albareda dined with us. Castelar was very amusing. | |
