1 February 1877 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 1st February [1877]. Painted all morning. Took Emilia out to driving to the Casa de Campo– Henry rode there to meet us & we got out & walked & he dismounted– The sun was very hot. We sat down under a tree for a little while. Silvela & Hatzfeldt dined with us in order to arrange some business after dinner. I worked at the Madrid Guide. | |
