2 February 1877 — Madrid | |
Friday. 2nd [February 1877]. Painted in morng. Drove to Casa de Campo & took Louise Aylton with me. We walked & eat under a tree– Came back by 4.30 when I had a succession of visitors. Beginning with Ittersum, then Montebello, Ludolf, the Bauers, Nicolas, the Owens’, & finally Molony. Molony was not gone when Emilia arrived for dinner. We worked at the Guide before & after dinner & Henry remained in his room to work for the messenger & I copied a paper for him after E. had gone. | |
