5 February 1877 — Madrid | |
Monday. 5th [February 1877]. Wrote letters &c. Went at 2 to fetch Emilia & we visited the Artillery Museum in the only wing remaining of the Buen Retiro Palace. Afterwards we walked in the Gardens– Hatzfeldt came to tea & we asked him to stop & dine wh he did. At 10 he went home having a bad cold & we went to the Bauers found very few people there. | |
