6 April 1877 — Paris
Friday. 6th [April 1877]. D’Antas brought his wife to see me. We left by 11 train for London. Not a very good passage but the Captn gave me his cabin so I was not ill. Met Tish Damer at Amiens & she got into our carriage. I had not seen her for years– She was on her way from Switzerland where her husband still is to England to see her father & daughter. We got to London at 8.30 & Ivor had sent the carriage for us. We went to stay at Ham: House. Found him & Cornelia & her sister Lady Fanny Marjoribanks– Had dinner & went to bed.
