16 July 1877 — Therapia | |
Monday. 16th [July 1877]. Still very hot. Wrote Turkish exercise. Practised guitar. Henry went at 12 in mouche to see Safvet Pasha & came back while I was at luncheon. Sat about in the garden & had tea there. Ahmet Vefyk Pasha came. Mr Reade called. Trimmed & cut trees with A V Pasha till dinner time. He dined & went home after dinner– | |
