17 July 1877 — Therapia | |
Tuesday. 17th [July 1877]. Very hot– Scirocco. Walked with Henry for ½ hour after breakfast. Had Turkish lesson. Made 8 mattrasses. Mrs G & Mrs W. Hanson called. At 5 dressed & went to Petala’s to fetch Genl Dickson & went to garden party at Khedive’s garden given by Lady Thomas for lawn tennis. Stayed abt ¾ hour. Came back fetched Henry & went for a row towards Buyukdere. Mr Austin, Mr Edwards RK & Capt Fife dined with us. Herberts & Galvagna came to tea. | |
