29 July 1877 — Therapia | |
Sunday. 29th [July 1877]. Bathed. Service. The Helicon sailors came instead of the Antelopes who have gone down to Stamboul. Miss Boyd played. Dr Thompson officiated. Sat in the grove till luncheon. Lady Kemble came to lunch with Miss Boyd in order to take leave of us as she is leaving for England with her children on Wednesday. Capt Malloy called having just returned from England with Jacub Khan the Kashgar Envoy. Sat in the grove with Henry & fell asleep when Zichy came & woke us. Had tea in the grove. Pisani, Sandison, Melgund, Julian, Kennedy, Elliot, Smijth, the Genl, Major de Winton. | |
