9 August 1877 — Therapia | |
Thursday. 9th August [1877]. Up at 7.30 & worked before breakfast. Visit from Mr Pratt who has come out to aid Mr Kennett in distributing the money for sick & wounded. Had a very bad headache & after helping Miss Boyd to cut out sheets had to go & lie down in my room in the dark where I was till dinner time. Went down for dinner the Genl, Mr Kennedy & Mr Smijth dined. Mr Maynard came to tea. | |
