14 November 1877 — Therapia | |
Wednesday. 14th [November 1877]. Wrote hard all the morning for the messenger. After luncheon visits from Mme Issoudun, P. & Pss Reuss, Col Baker & a young Mavrocordato. They stayed some time & Mme Ballazzi came to help to work for the wounded– I took her & Col Baker out with me as I wanted to go & play tennis & it was getting late. Came in & worked till dinner. Mr Waring ex M.P. & Mr T. Bowles editor of Vanity Fair came to dine & sleep. We made bandages in the evening. Little T.B. was very active & important. | |
