18 November 1877 — Therapia | |
Sunday. 18th [November 1877]. Mr Jocelyn arrived & the messenger. Mr J. stayed with us. Made charpie in the morning. Went for a walk in the afternoon—the de Wintons, Henry & I, the Genl & Mr Jocelyn. Walked to Buyukdére valley & back. The Reuss, Baring, Capt. Barnaby & Embassy dined with us. On our walk we met a gentleman with a splendid wild boar on a poney he had shot in the Forest of Belgrade & Mr Sandison & Mr Elliot said they had shot 2 more today. Made charpie in the eveng. Major de Winton returned from Sofia. | |
