27 November 1877 — Constantinople | |
Tuesday. 27th [November 1877]. Mrs W. Hanson arrived to lunch & to see to Ladies Association affairs– Mrs de W. came in to help me to cut out soldier’s jackets. Mrs de W. also lunched with us & Mr Jocelyn. I went out driving to pay some visits. It drizzled so after paying a visit to the Khan I returned home. Capt. Wells, the Ct, the Genl & Mr Smijth dined with us. We made flannel bandages in the billiard room. | |
