Tuesday. 1st January 1878. Mrs W. Hanson came here & we both helped Mrs de Winton to finish a calico dress she was making for Mrs Rawson to act in & then she took Mrs de W. to Candilli. I received a curious silver chased cup as a souvenir from Mehemet Ali P. He wrote me word it had belonged to Ali P. of Yannina & so is doubly curious & valuable– I played a game of tennis in the Court. | |
