19 February 1878 — Constantinople | |
Tuesday. 19th [February 1878]. Mrs de Winton was better & got up & came & sat in my boudoir. After lunch I played tennis with Mr Smijth, Jocelyn & Kennedy but as soon as Henry came in from the Porte they were called away for telegrams. Later I walked in the garden with Henry. The Russians are coming to S. Stefano the G. Duke Nicolas is going to take up his headquarters there. | |
