1 March 1878 — Constantinople | |
Friday. 1st March [1878]. I was not very well & Dr Dickson gave me some horrid compound wh made me feel CD all day. I tried to play lawn tennis a little while in the afternoon but had to give it up & retire to the sewing machine. Mr Bartlett came to call. Henry went out early to dine with the Persian Minister. The Genl, Major de Winton & Mr Rawson dined with me. Mrs de W. not so well & we were very anxious. Henry came home abt 10.30 & we went early to bed. | |
