2 March 1878 — Constantinople | |
Saturday. 2nd March [1878]. Mrs de Winton took a very favorable turn in the night and we have great hopes of her recovery. Cut out & worked for refugees. Mrs & 2 Miss Parnis came & cut out a little while. I walked with Henry in the garden in the afternoon. Visit from Mr Storey who asked for medical stores. Also from Mme & Mlle Tebet. Major de W. dined with us, the Genl was not well & did not come to dinner. In the eveng Mr Smijth & Hobart P. came & helped me to make bandages. | |
