Monday. 29th [April 1878]. Unpacked & finished getting in order. After lunch Henry & I went to call on the Fourniers & found them in. They took us to walk in their garden wh is very pretty. The Genl arrived from Candilli. Saïd P. & Munir Effendi called & we gave them some tea. Saïd told us he was reinstated in his office as Chamberlain at the Palace. The Genl, Mr Ash: & Mr Smijth dined with us. | |
