Tuesday. 23rd [July 1878]. Bathed & swam out. Began to make a portrait of Aimée d’Ehrenhoff. The M & S. went to town to see the dancing dervishes. Henry went to the Sultan. The girls played tennis with the secretaries & I looked on till Princess Vijdane Halim came to call. She did not stay very long. | |
