2 November 1878 — Therapia | |
Saturday. 2nd November [1878]. Painted in the garden. May went to Candilli with Henry Hanson who happened to call here. Zichy came to luncheon. At 3 we played tennis till 4.30. Went with Mr Smijth to the hotel to call on Lady Dickson who has just lost her mother Mrs Burnaby at the age of 90. From there Mr S. & I went fishing with the Miss Parnis & caught 24 small Lufer & got back a little late for dinner. Hobart P. came to stay with us. Mr Leveson Gower, Mr Mallet & Smijth dined with us. I sang. | |
