9 January 1879 — Constantinople | |
Thursday. 9th [January 1879]. Hill had been ill in the night so I sent for Dr Patterson. I went with Henry to call on Nazlie. Found her husband not expected to live many hours. A sale going on in the salamlik below. Altogether it was a sad sight. Adl Hornby arrived from Izmit to spend a couple of days with us. Capt. Day dined with us. | |
