Friday. 10th [January 1879]. Had singing lesson. May & I went to Mme Fourniers in the afternoon being her reception day. Found a roomfull & we all sat round solemnly & tea was handed. Baker P., Hobart P., Sir C. & Lady Dickson, Mr d’Ehrenhoff, Aimée & Mr Smijth dined. | |
