22 February 1879 — En route to Lyra | |
Saturday. 22nd [February 1879]. We had a very bad night & abt 3 AM it blew & rained so hard & was so dark that we had to stop for abt an hour. However the weather improved a little & it was fine eno’ for me to get up & breakfast below & then I went on deck & lay there till bed time having my dinner up there. | |
