1 March 1879 — Trieste
Saturday. 1st March [1879]. We left Trieste by ¼ to 7 train. Henry was feeling very ill at starting & I felt very anxious. B. Morpurgo met us at the station & gave me a lovely bouquet & some chocolate. We breakfasted at Steinbruck & Henry seemed better. It was very cold & as we got near Vienna it began to snow. We got there at 9.40 & were met by the Elliot’s carriage & a splendid Jäger covered with blue feathers & we went to the Embassy & they gave us               .
