16 April 1879 — Blackheath | |
Wednesday. 16th [April 1879]. Went up to town to spend the day. We went to luncheon with Connie to meet Pss Christian. She was very civil & gave me her photograph. Mrs Burr fetched me in her carriage & took me shopping. She left me at 6 at Lady Somers. Henry joined me there. Addie dined & also Mrs Burr. We had a very pleasant jolly eveng & Lady Somers was wonderfully well considering how very ill she has been lately. Addie Tavistock was there. We were a merry party & Henry & I drove back to Blackheath afterwards. | |
