24 May 1879 — Therapia | |
Saturday. 24th May [1879]. Being Queen’s birthday Henry had the usual reception & at 5 he & Alice went out riding. After he was gone Hatzfeldt, Nelly & Ittersum called on their way up to settle at Buyukdere for the summer & I recd them. There was the usual uniform official dinner & afterwards we had a dance wh lasted till 12. Mrs Hobart was much admired– Alice & I dined in the waiting room. Mrs H. dined in her own room. | |
