28 July 1879 — Therapia | |
Monday. 28th [July 1879]. I was in my room all day with a headache. Mrs W. Hanson & Eda d’Ehrenhoff came to see me. The change of Ministry is after a 3 weeks’ crisis—finally decided on & Caratheodory & Hayreddin are out. Arifi P. is the new head of the new Govt. He is a very weak good man & was once Gd Vizier for 7 days & nearly died of the responsibility. Safvet P. is the new Minister for F.A. & is coming from Paris. A great many people came in the eveng & there was a deal of political talk. | |
