8 August 1879 — Therapia | |
Friday. 8th August [1879]. Directly after lunch B & I went down to Beylerbey to call on Nazlie. From there we went on to Arnaut keui & called on Mme Caratheodory P. who was at home—then to Candilli. There we found ponies waiting for us to take us to the top of the hill. Mr Bland who was with us walked. We went to Mrs Henry’s & saw her on her stretcher to wh she is now confined having broken a tendon in her leg. I went to call on Mrs Pusey & then went back to Mrs Henry & had tea in the garden. We walked next to Mrs Hanson’s & from there to Mrs Arthur’s & afterwards called on Mrs Hobart & only got home to dinner quite fatigued. | |
