13 December 1879 — Constantinople | |
Saturday. 13th [December 1879]. I had my Turkish lesson. We had the Washingtons, Mr Sartoris to dinner & afterwards Mme Livadari & Mr Schlumberger came and we played trios & quartetts with piano, violincello, harmonium & voice & tried some glees over & had a very pleasant evening. | |
