15 December 1879 — Constantinople | |
Monday. 15th [December 1879]. I breakfasted in bed but got up by 10 in order to have my painting lesson of Mrs Walker & went on till past one. After lunch I went out in the garden but was driven in by rain & walked round the corridor. A post came in from England we had news that Alice’s father had been very ill with inflammation of the lungs but was getting over it. | |
