17 December 1879 — Constantinople | |
Wednesday. 17th [December 1879]. Wrote for the departing messenger all the morng & after luncheon had my Turkish lesson & then went & joined Henry in his walk in the garden but it was cold & damp & I did not stay out long. Several people called at 5 o’clock. We then dined alone. | |
