5 January 1880 — Constantinople | |
Monday. 5th [January 1880]. Mrs Walker gave me my painting lesson but I was not at all well. It snowed hard. We dined at 7 & Capt Swaine & Mr Sartoris dined & took Alice to Mr Washington to the meeting of the Glee Club, & Henry & I spent the eveng alone. | |
