29 March 1880 — Constantinople | |
Monday. 29th [March 1880]. Mrs Walker gave me a painting lesson & I sketched my Circassian Slave on the Canvass—but as soon as she was gone I had to go & lie down as I had such a bad headache. We were to have gone to the Palace today but luckily the Sultan put us off till Thursday & so I went to bed being very ill. | |
