13 June 1880 — Langham House, Portland Place | |
Sunday. 13th [June 1880]. Nelly & I went to Mr Haweis’ church & found it very hot & stuffy—Hospital Sunday—Music badish. Monty came to luncheon also Arthur & little Mildred– Maria & Ola came to lunch– then came Emilia Riaño & a lot of different people. I rested before dinner being very tired with so much talking & turmoil. Henry went to see Ld Hammond who thinks Henry is entitled to his full pension whatever happens. | |
