14 August 1880 — Paris | |
Saturday. 14th [August 1880]. Henry & I went to the Bon Marché to buy curtains for Ca Capello & were there shopping till lunch. Afterwards we went to the Bois & had a very nice drive there. Went to the Palais Royale & bought some brooches for the Rate girls—& gave the Sultan Medjids snuff box to have paste put in where I had taken out the real diamond. We went to Champeaux & had an excellent dinner & then went to the Cirque wh was not particularly good. | |
