18 August 1880 — Turin | |
Wednesday. 18th [August 1880]. Left by 9 oclock train & went straight to Venice via Milan. It was a very hot day & when we got to Verona there was a thunderstorm. We got to Venice abt ½ past 6. Malcolm & R. Brown met us & our Giovanni who had arrived from Consple with 190 cases of furniture &c. Mr Malcolm made us go & dine with him at his palace & then we came home to sleep. | |
