19 August 1880 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 19th August [1880]. Set to work to get the furniture carried up from where we slept on the 1st floor to the rooms we are going to occupy on 2nd floor—busy all day merely stopping to go over to Mr Malcolms to lunch & dine. Took a row at 4 to get a little rest. Brown dined at Malcolms to meet us & after dinner we all took a turn in the Piazza. | |
