20 August 1880 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 20th [August 1880]. Hill, Henry & I went to the Lido at 1 A.M. & I took my 1st sea bath. We had hard work sorting all the furniture & getting it placed in the different rooms. lunched & dined at Mr Malcolm’s. We came home after dinner as a thunderstorm prevented our going out. | |
