1 December 1880 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 1st December [1880]. Busy morng packing & arranging things. Brown called—& was in a good humour. After lunch Henry went to Murano to take leave of the artists. I stayed at home painted & finished arranging books. As Henry came home he was overtaken by a thick fog which enveloped us. Had a visit from Mrs Bronson who seemed a very nice person. She has the Casa Alvisi here & is an American lady—rich & charitable. Afterwards came Css Marcello & sat a long time with us chatting. Then I had last lesson in lace making. Mr Malcolm dined with us.
