7 March 1881 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Monday. 7th [March 1881]. Got up late. Henry went out in the morng to the Stabilimento. Mr Rawdon Brown came to see us & sat with me a long time till Henry returned. He seemed in good health & temper—said Mr Malcolm has eased his mind by finding him a nice grave next his own in the new cemetery. After lunch Henry & I went to the Stabilimento to see all the things wh had been prepared for the Milan Exhibition & then we went on to Ongania to give him the notes on Burano lace which are to be added to my translation of Urbani’s Technical History of lace. I then left Henry to take his walk & returned home as I had a headache. I could not dine & went early to bed.
