13 July 1881 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord | |
Wednesday. 13th July [1881]. I went & sat under a tree near the house & began a sketch of the house which took me till nearly dinner time. The steamer arrived with the post. I had a letter from Maria– Henry went out fishing & brought home 2 salmon– Dinner at 4. Abt 6 I went out sea fishing with Henry & Ericson. It was not a good day as it was blowing & we could only fish for whiting of which we caught 13 in all. I got 8 of them. Coming home Henry seized the oars & helped to row home. We came home rather early & I & Henry played cribbage till supper. Afterwards I had a game with the Genl. | |
