4 August 1881 — 3 Savile Row | |
Thursday. 4th [August 1881]. Maria came up to see me & then Mrs Austen made her appearance. Maria & I went off in a handsome to order her a bonnet. Temmie went to Langham House. We all returned home for luncheon & Mildred & Rhuvon also came up from Roehampton to lunch. Visit at 3 from Mr Otway. At 4 Blanche fetched me & took me out driving & we went to Stores for Blanche’s shopping. Came home for tea. Susan Hambro came to call. Later Arthur came & then Mama– I had to leave her & hasten to dress to go & dine with Blanche. Met Lord St Germans, Mr & Mrs Hambro & Monty. | |
