5 January 1882 — Inwood, Henstridge, Somerset | |
Thursday. 5th January [1882]. Merthyr & Theo both went out hunting. Maria & Alice left for home by 11.30 train. I wrote a lot of letters which took me all the morning. Lunched with Lady Westminster. Henry & I took a walk in the garden. The weather was blustery & showery but not cold. Sat with Lady Westminster working. Theo returned early from hunting. Merthyr came later. Dined at 8. Theo, Lady Westr, Merthyr & Henry played whist in the evening– I watched them. | |
