Sunday. 12th February [1882]. I resolved to remain in bed & poultice the boil. In the afternoon Henry went out down to Constance to bid her adieu as she leaves tomorrow for the country. He met Maria there & told her I was laid up so she came up & sat with me & we had tea together. Arthur also came to see me. Henry dined alone & sat with me in the evening & we played cribbage– I got on the sofa– | |
